This report gives bibliographic data and week-by-week circulation for a "single title," which is defined as a single "ISBN cluster" within the selected aggregate. Clusters are based on Catalog IDs with shared ISBNs.
There are a number of ways to create these reports:
1. Click Through
Click any ISBN Cluster in a Popular Books Report. This will take you to a Week-by-Week sales report for that ISBN Cluster.
2. Quick Search
Search for a title, contributor, or ISBN in the search box that appears in the top right of most pages in BNC LibraryData. Title and contributor results will be returned based on lifetime loans for the ISBN Cluster and sorted by loans in the most recent week. Click the ISBN of the title you wish to view. Searches for valid ISBNs will go straight to the Book Activity Report page.
Titles can be full or partial titles.
Contributors can be entered as either last name, first name or first name, last name format (e.g. Atwood, Margaret orMargaret Atwood).
ISBNs can be either 10- or 13-digit ISBNs.
If your search returns no results, and you believe you should be seeing a result, please contact us at email@example.com for assistance.
From anyBook Activity Week by Week report, you can switch to the Multi-Library report by clicking theChange to Multi Library Viewbutton in the adjust criteria toolbar.
3. Search Criteria
Search for a title by filling out the fields on the main criteria page for the Book Activity Report.
There are two tabs on the criteria screen. One for the Week by Week circulation report, and one for the Multi-Library circulation report.
Setting up a Report
The default setting for Aggregate is All Libraries. The Quick Picks section shows recommended aggregates based on the ones you commonly use. To choose a different aggregate, click theAdd/Edit Aggregate button to open a menu. Note that for the Week by Week report, you can only select one aggregate.
From there, you can filter aggregates based on: type, province, population density, population served, budget, tier, and branch focus. You can also search for specific aggregates by name or from a list.
The default setting for Reporting Period is Current Week. Select a different period by choosing from the drop-down menu in the basic view. For more advanced options, select Custom or click on the calendars below.
YTD, Year and Lifetime
Last 52 weeks will display data for the rolling 52 weeks
Year-To-Date (YTD) will display data for the calendar year from the first week of data for the year.
Lifetime will display data for every period where data was reported by the aggregate.
The default display for Custom Period is the most recent week. To select a different time period, click on the date boxes or calendar icons below to enter the starting and ending date of the reporting period.
Why are some weeks greyed out?
The calendar weeks can display as greyed out for two reasons:
the week precedes the first week of data received for the aggregate selected
it is a week in the future
This textbox allows you to search for a single ISBN.
