Learn how to start a new order (as both a buyer and a sales rep) and enter order quantities.
Start a new order

To start a new order from any catalogue or title detail page, click Order Products in the toolbar and click Start a New Order.
Enter information for your new order.
Give your new order a name that will help you identify the order's contents later on (for example, a department, company, season, or date).
Select the location(s) you wish to include in the order.
Note: Additional locations cannot be added to the order once the order has been created.(Optional) Add a purchase order number, a promotion code, categories, or a brief comment.
Click Start Order.
A new order is created, and CataList displays an Order Summary section with a running total of your order contents.
Sales reps
If you are a sales rep taking an order on behalf of an account, you will need to enter the account name so that CataList can display the correct store locations. Start typing in the name of the account, and CataList will provide a list of possible matches.
If the store is not yet set up in the CataList system, click Add new to add the new store to CataList. The store will receive an invitation to set up a password for CataList to view or export the orders that you – and other reps – take for them.
Add order quantities
To add order quantities, use the Order Qty box in a catalogue’s scroll view or grid view. If you are viewing the title detail page, expand the Orders section for the Order Qty box.
CataList will save any new order quantities to your active order until you switch to a different order or log out and start a new session.
The titles that you add to an order should be sourced from the same supplier.
WordStock data points
If you use WordStock as your point-of-sale system, you can enable the WordStock integration in CataList to enter title-level data that can be exported into WordStock. Learn more about CataList’s WordStock integration.
