Please note that a company being listed as a Data Consumer below does NOT mean you can stop, or not seek to supply should not start, supplying ONIX data direct on the assumption that they will receive it from BiblioShare. We supply data to firms following their specification and it may support other aspects of their business than on-line sales. This advice would be equally true for Bowker, Ingram and other data aggregators as well.
Data consuming businesses should tell publishers directly if they are getting their information from another source and data suppliers should not rely on any listing. Publishers should never assume they don't have to supply data because of it's availability from third party suppliers.
