page in CataList, bibliographic details are mostly displayed under the contributor name(s) and in the accordion dropdown in the left column. If the information for Sales Rights and Supply Detail are not populated, those accordion flaps will not display on

the Title Detail Page

In Webform a book/record’s Title Detail page allows you to enter/edit the bibliographic information, upload image assets, and check your book’s ONIX record for validation. Once you have entered/edited your record in Webform make sure to save it and send your ONIX to BiblioShare or any other trading partners directly from Webform.

To access the Title Detail page on Webform, click the Edit button for the record you want to work on. If you want to work on a new title/record, click the +Add New Title button on the top right.

1. Title, Subtitle, and Series Title

Step 1

Fill in the main title of your book in the Title

box,

field on

any tab on

Webform.

Step 2

If your title begins with a prefix (a, an, or the), split the title to fill in the Title Prefix and Title without prefix

field. Why? Splitting your title helps retailers sort them appropriately by

Step 1

Select the correct product form using the Product form box field in the General Information tab on Webform.

Select the Product Form Detail.

Hot Tip:

Identify digital products by filling in the Epublication type boxfield in Webform. For print products & and digital products, you can also optionally fill in the Product form detail boxfield, in addition to the Product form boxfield.

3. Sales Rights

At the bottom of the General information tab you will find “For For Sale with exclusive rights”. Click the globe to see the list of countries available. WORLD, is also available as an option for your titles.

Using the General Information tab on Webform, fill in the FOR SALE WITH EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS box For Sale with exclusive rights field with the sales rights for your title. This information is displayed when you open the Sales Rights accordion on the Title Detail Page page for your title in CataList.

If you have sales rights for your title, select World.

From the list, select the appropriate country/countries and click OK.

If you hold the rights to sell the book in any territory, select “WORLD” in the “For sale with exclusive rights” field.

If you’re only planning to sell the book within Canada, or if you’re unsure about where, beyond this country, you may hold sales rights, select “Canada”.

To enter Publisher name go to General Information tab on your Title Detail page.

Enter Publisher name in its field. Using the Imprint tab on Webform, you can assign the proprietorial code value for your imprint using the Name Code Value box field under the Imprint tab. The Name Code should be set to 01 - Proprietary.

Hot Tip:

Publisher and imprint are both expected by retailers — provide both even if they're the same.

ISNI is now a widely accepted Name Code Value for your Publishers and Imprints. You can add multiple Publisher and Imprint entries while working in Advanced Form.

This is critical information that retailers, distributors, and libraries use to sell or surface your book. As this is required information, it's also required for validating your ONIX record.

    In Webform’s Title Detail page click on the General Information tab and scroll down to see the boxes fields labelled Language of text and Publication Date.

    Enter the primary language of your publication and the publication date of your book.

    You are able to set an on-sale date and expected ship date of your book inside the Supply Detail page.

    9. Description, Author Bio, Reviews, Table of Contents, and Excerpts

    Step 1

    To enter your book’s description, author bio, reviews, table of contents (TOC), and excerpts, click on the Text tab on your Title Detail page.

    Step 2

    In each of the six boxes you can enter HTML formatted text to define the book’s description, author bio, reviews, TOC, and excerpts. Only enter basic HTML codes that are allowed in ONIX. Do not apply style attributes to any tags, and avoid using <div> tags altogether. They are not allowed in ONIX and can create errors in the recipient's web listing of your book.
