The Related Product composite in ONIX allows publishers to identify relationships between products and to expose the nature of these relationships to their downstream partners. With Webform you can list multiple Related Products and identify their relationships.

CataList users are able to see all Related Products listed on the Title Detail page of each book.

Webform’s Simplified Form allows you to list three Related Products. If you would like to list more than three Related Products, switch to Advanced Form with only a click of a button.

Step 1

To enter Related Product information click on the Related Product tab in your Title Detail page.

Step 2

First fill the Related code field. If you click on it a dropdown menu will appear with all the codes available. Choose the appropriate code.

Step 3

Both ISBN and Product Form of the Related Product is required. Don’t forget to fill those fields.

If the Related Product is an Epublication then you need to first fill Product Form field with DG-Electronic book text, and then enter the code for Epublication type at the bottom. It’s a dropdown code list, if you are unsure then you can easily look up the code and it’s type from the list.

Advanced Form

To access Advanced Form go to the top left of your Title Detail page on Webform and select Advanced Form.

In Advanced Form, Related Product tab can be found inside the Miscellaneous tab.

  • First, click on the Miscellaneous tab, scroll down to find and click the Related Product tab.

  • Click the Add button to add Related Product entries to your title/record.

  • Click the Remove button to remove Related Product entry from your title/record.

  • Fill out the Related Product information the same way as you did in the Simplied Form. In Advanced Form you will see an additional box containing Product Identifier(s) fields. This is where you can enter the Related Product ISBN, or you can identify an ID-Type that is not an ISBN/EAN. To see the full list available first click Add button in the Product Identifier(s) box and then click the ID Type field to expose the full list.
