Creating a Title using Webform

The Manage Titles screen provides a handy overview of all the titles currently listed in your catalogue, their ONIX validation status for each title, Actions dropdown menu, Search, Edit, Duplicate, Delete and various other functions. Please visit this page to learn more about the functions available on your Manage Titles screen.

  • Webform will automatically check to see if metadata for that ISBN already exists in our BiblioShare database, and will fill in the form with that data. It's like magic!

  • Image assets will also be imported into Webform if it already exists in BiblioShare.

  • Whether you're pulling data from BiblioShare or manually entering it, make sure to fill in all fields that are marked RED. These fields are required for schema validation. Applicable to both Simplified Form and Advanced Form.

  • Click Save to save your edits and return to the Manage Titles screen.

  • The new title will be added to your catalogue on the Manage Titles screen.

  • Select Import an ONIX file from the Actions drop-down menu in the Manage Titles screen, circled with the red dot in the image below. Then select Import an ONIX file from the menu.

There are three ways to add images from your computer to Webform. You can simply drop the file into the designated space, or you can use the file browser, or you can upload a URL.

How to drop an image

Add an image file from your computer by simply dropping it in the image tab left of the title details as seen in the image below. Make sure to drop it on in the tab with the text. Once you’ve dropped it a small pop up window will appear as seen in the second image below. Here you can choose if you want to use the dropped image as a Front Cover, Front Cover Thumbnail, Contributor Image or Interior Image.
