Loan Stars is a readers’ advisory tool that allows library staff across Canada to collaboratively select their favourite forthcoming titles. Using CataList, library staff can recommend upcoming books they deem essential for Canadian libraries, with both adult and junior readers in mind. The Loan Stars program has changed.
Starting in January/February 2023, Loan Stars lists will now be produced using on order numbers from LibraryData. To find out more about Loan Stars, please visit the LibraryData Help Manual.
Monthly Loan Stars catalogues will still be produced in CataList.
Logging in to your CataList account gives library users access to notes mark-up, marketing information for specific titles, early access to publisher catalogues, brief MARC record exports for bibliographic data, and ordering support. If you haven't signed up for an account yet, you can do so here.
